Brainspotting
You’re a good fit for coaching if:
You are ready to set goals and make specific changes in your life.
You like accountability and having someone in your corner to motivate and challenge you.
You are open-minded, ready to overcome barriers, and are seeking long-lasting change.
You enjoy personal growth, self-understanding, and figuring out ways you thrive best.
You need help sorting through information, making a plan, and seeing it through.
You aren’t a good fit for coaching if:
You are currently struggling with severe depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, or mood disorders.
What to Expect:
Schedule online, email, text, or call 727-201-2190 to book a free 15-minute consult or initial intake session.
Prior to our initial session you’ll complete paperwork in the secure portal. During the intake session, I will ask you a bunch of questions to get to know you better. This session is also an opportunity to determine if we are a good fit for each other. If things feel aligned, we’ll move forward with setting goals and creating a plan for working together. We’ll work together to create a vision for your future, tap into your motivation, and set concrete goals.
We’ll meet regularly to work toward your goals. While coaching is collaborative, it might feel a little more structured and present/future-focused than therapy or counseling.
We’ll typically meet weekly for a few months, titrating to biweekly until you are ready to do it on your own. At that point, you’ll let me know, and we’ll have a closing session to reflect on your progress and make a plan for making those changes stick for the long term.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a groundbreaking somatic approach that uses targeted eye positions to access unresolved distress, trauma, and issues that may be stuck in the body. Brainspotting allows for deep processing and emotional release without the need for talking.
Areas of focus:
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety
Performance & Creativity
Chronic pain
Stress
Grief and Loss
Neurodivergent Burnout
What to expect:
Schedule online, email, text, or call 727-201-2190 to book a free 15-minute consult. If aligned, we’ll schedule the initial intake session and you’ll complete paperwork via our secure portal.
We’ll meet for an initial intake session where we’ll review your history, goals, and get to know each other. We’ll review Brainspotting and what to expect moving forward. If we have time, we’ll do a short Brainspotting session to introduce you to it.
Sessions begin with identifying a target issue. We’ll explore where this is felt in your body and find a brainspot that holds this experience. From there, we’ll mindfully focus on that spot, allowing your brain to process at its own pace. You might experience sensations, emotions, images, or memories or feel the need to talk. I’ll be there to support you every step of the process. If you’re into it, we can incorporate the expressive arts into Brainspotting sessions, alternating between Brainspotting and artmaking activities to enhance and deepen processing.
We’ll meet as frequently as needed to meet your goals. Many people find relief in Brainspotting in just a few sessions, while others find ongoing sessions more helpful.
Brainspotting is available to both therapy and coaching clients, depending on the area of focus. Ideally, you’ll want to join sessions via a computer (larger screen) and utilize headphones as you listen to bilateral music during sessions.
